Built for Electrical and Engineering Recruitment

I built Zionic because I was frustrated. Frustrated watching generalist recruiters mishandle technical briefs, send unqualified candidates, and treat both employers and tradespeople as transactions. Electrical and engineering recruitment is a specialist discipline — and it deserves a specialist firm.

Why Zionic Exists

Generalist recruiters can't tell the difference between a commercial electrician and an industrial one. They can't read a job spec and spot the gap between what's written and what's actually needed. They can't reach the candidate who isn't looking. We can — because we only work in one space.

Zionic places electricians, engineers, supervisors, and technical specialists across industrial and commercial operations. We know these roles at a technical level. We have the networks. We speak the same language as the people we place and the businesses we serve.

How We Work

Technically credible

We can read a single-line diagram, recognise a LOTO procedure, and understand why a controls engineer with DeltaV experience isn't interchangeable with one who only knows Siemens. Depth of knowledge means better briefs and better shortlists.

Networks, not job boards

The best candidates in electrical and engineering are not applying to job boards. They're on site, delivering. We reach them through relationships built over years in the industry — not through ad spend.

Commercially direct

We're straight on fees, honest on timelines, and direct when a brief isn't workable. No corporate language, no padding, no managing expectations for the sake of looking busy. Every conversation is designed to move things forward.

Hires that stick

We verify licences, speak to references, confirm availability, and brief candidates thoroughly before they ever meet a client. If a placement doesn't work out within three months, we replace them at no cost. We stand behind every hire.

10 Disciplines. Deep Specialisation.

We recruit across 10 defined electrical and engineering disciplines — from trade-qualified field workers to senior engineering professionals. Every role we work on falls into one of three tiers:

Electrical Trades: Commercial, Industrial, Maintenance, and Construction Electricians
Leadership & Site Management: Electrical Supervisors, Foremen, and Electrical Project Managers
Engineering & Technical: Electrical Engineers, I&C Engineers, Controls / PLC Engineers, and Commissioning Engineers

The Zionic Difference

Most recruitment firms are broad by design. They work across every industry and every discipline because volume is how they make money. Zionic is narrow by design. We go deep into one space — electrical and engineering — and we stay there.
That focus means our networks are deeper, our briefs are tighter, and our candidates are more relevant. A hiring manager in electrical contracting or industrial engineering knows immediately whether we understand their world. We do.

Recruitment Re-Wired

That's the tagline — and it means exactly what it says. The old model of recruitment is broken for technical industries. Spray-and-pray job ads, generic CV screening, and account managers who don't know the difference between LV and HV. Zionic is built differently. Specialist knowledge. Deep networks. Direct communication. Hires that deliver.
