The Role
A family-owned Adelaide Hills electrical and air-conditioning business with 100+ five-star Google reviews is hiring a senior quoting electrician to own the quote pipeline end-to-end.

$50–$55/hr | 4-day week option (genuine, not a marketing line) | Minimal tools | Vehicle + phone allowance
What You’ll Do
This is a quoting and sales-led position. Your electrical and air-conditioning knowledge is what makes you credible on site, but your time is better spent scoping, quoting, and winning work.
- Attend site visits and scope work across residential, commercial, and light industrial
- Quote electrical and air-conditioning work: ducted, split systems, upgrades, and controls
- Build accurate quotes with clear inclusions, exclusions, and scope boundaries
- Present solutions, follow up, handle objections, and close work
- Maintain clean pipeline notes, photos, and next steps in the job management system
- Provide smooth handover to the delivery team so jobs run without variations
Tools work is minimal. Your value is in your technical credibility and your ability to turn site visits into booked jobs.
Requirements
Must have
- Proven experience quoting and estimating electrical work
- Strong customer communication — confident on the phone and on-site
- High autonomy, ownership mentality, minimal supervision required
- Solid technical credibility so customers trust your recommendations and pricing
Highly regarded
- Current SA A-Class Electrical Licence
- Air-conditioning quoting exposure: ducted, splits, controls, and upgrades
- Commercial and industrial scoping experience
- Strong systems discipline: pipeline hygiene, notes, photos, clean handovers
Package & Conditions
- $50–$55/hr base rate, senior band available for the right operator
- Commission / profit-share option — for commercially hungry operators, a lower base with uncapped upside is on the table. If you back yourself to convert, the business is open to building something that rewards it
- 4-day work week — genuine option, fit to the right person
- Vehicle and phone allowance for the right candidate
- Work across a diverse client base including Defence, councils, and residential clients across Adelaide and the Hills
- Real autonomy — you’ll own the quote function and help shape how the business wins work
